The Villa Franca is a very friendly place with a great atmosphere encouraging casual contact between various guests at the hotel. Food was excellent and the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating with advice as well as any needs regarding the room. We were able to leave our car there for a day while travelling by public transportation even after we had checked out! The location is great! Very close to the main entrance to the ruins of Pompei.

We had an amazing time at this hotel! The owners made us feel like part of their family during our stay. The location could not have been better for exploring the Pompeii and Herculaneum excavations, as well as Naples and Sorrento. Just a short 10-minute walk to the Pompeii ruins and the train station. Plus, we were pleasantly surprised by the delicious home-cooked dinner for only 18 euros. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well. the value for money at Villa Franca was exceptional.
Although our stay was fantastic, it's important to note that this is not a 5-star all-inclusive hotel. Also, the train track nearby can be a bit noisy during the day, but it never caused any issues for us in the evenings.

The Villa Franca felt like staying at a friends house, not a hotel. From the minute we arrived we were treated like old friends. We were offered cold drinks right away and the owners took the time to sit down and talk to us about Pompeii and some of the things we should see in the area. They provided us with an amazing home cooked dinner for a reasonable cost of 12 euro per person. And we were served a home cooked breakfast that was included in cost of the room. We ate poolside and were offered local drinks with our meals. The rooms were spacious, very clean and comfortable. The place was very kid friendly (we were traveling with 6 kids) and had a swimming pool which felt great after a long dusty day at the Pompeii ruins. I would highly recommend this place for families traveling alone or with kids.

This is a family run hotel located a short stroll from the main entrance to Pompeii Scavi. After a hot day on the site, cooling down in the pool was indeed very welcome... The people are incredibly friendly and did everything to make our short stay comfortable. We were charged only for two people even though we booked a triple room (the only one left when we made the reservation); when I ran out of cigarettes, the owner brought me a pack from the tabacchi so that we wouldn't have to go search for one ourselves; they offered us an early breakfast because we had to leave for Rome in time, etc. As the modern town of Pompeii doesn't offer much in terms of evening entertainment, we stayed there for dinner and were not disappointed: we had an excellent three course meal prepared by the father for, well, no money at all considering the quality. Definitely a very good choice if you're visiting Pompeii!

The owners speak very well english and are very very friendly and helpful. The dinner they serve is fantastatic - better than in many more expensive restaurants. Location is perfect (near the ruins), and you can leave your car in Villa Franca. Pool in the garden is nice. We felt like staying at our Italian family or friends, and would recommend to others as well.
